Merrychef appoint new Product Manager

Accelerated cooking expert, Merrychef Ltd, part of the Manitowoc Foodservice Group, has appointed Simon Bircham to the newly created post of Product Manager.

Based at the company's UK headquarters in Ash Vale, Hampshire, Simon is responsible for the launch and development of Merrychef's new product range, the eikon™ series of speed ovens to the global foodservice market.

Talking about this new role, Merrychef's managing director, Graham Veal, said:

"It's an exciting time for Merrychef as we consolidate out UK manufactured oven range and coordinate the worldwide launch of the eikon™ series. Simon will focus on the commercial development of our advanced cooking technology as we continue to introduce new innovations and add to the product series in conjunction with our foodservice customers needs."

With a strong background in international product management Simon brings a depth of experience to Merrychef with a perfect combination of engineering and technologcial knowledge and product management expertise. Previous roles include International Product Manager for KEF, a british producer of high performance loud speakers: and Product Marketing Manager at BSI, a world leader in providing testing and certification services and home to the prestigious Kitemark.
