Merrychef Menukey Uploads Good Menus' Faster

14th February 2008

MERRYCHEF, an Enodis UK company, is to launch a USB version of its revolutionary MenuKey® technology at Hotelympia 2008.

Visitors to stand N2731/N2831 are invited to view a demonstration of the USB MenuKey®, downloading menu updates to multiple locations in seconds.

Menukey® technology allows quick and easy programming of multiple ovens, saving time and reducing errors. The new version of the key simply plugs into a USB port on any computer and email updates are uploaded immediately. This process gives operators ownership of the menu upgrading process, eliminating the need to mail the key back to Merrychef for updating.

Merrychef will also exhibit a new griddle pan accessory for the award winning 402S oven.

Unlike other microwave-accelerated convection ovens that use top or bottom launch microwave systems, Merrychef's unique side-launch energy system allows the use of metal pans like the griddle pan which provides an authentic "grilled" finish to fish, meat and vegetables. The griddle pan is already in widespread use with retailers such as Marks & Spencer and KFC France.

Merrychef's development chefs will be working with the griddle pan during live cooking demonstrations throughout the show.

Graham Veal, Merrychef's managing director, said: "The 402S has seen phenomenal global success since it was launched at Hotelympia two years ago. We believe this is the oven of the future and are constantly working on technological advances on this and the rest of our portfolio to ensure we continue to provide the best solution for our clients."
