Merrychef Invests in After Sales Support

ACCELERATED COOKING specialist, Merrychef Ltd, has appointed Barry Dewhurst as UK Service Manager with a brief to drive the company's service business forward.

Barry has a pure service background and most recently worked as UK Service Director for one of the world's largest petrol pump manufacturers, Dresser Wayne.

Since his appointment earlier this year Barry has already overseen the addition of two new Field Engineers to strengthen the existing team.

As part of the customer service drive Barry has supported the installation of Navman Satellite Navigation, Tracking and Messaging Systems into the company's fleet of service vehicles.

"Live tracking, coupled with satellite navigation and instant messaging, will allow Merrychef engineers to improve response times for customers, leading to increased efficiency and productivity," said Barry. "We also have plans to upgrade our service management system, including the introduction of a paperless administration system."

"We will continue to invest in leading edge technology and systems to ensure that our service teams are able to meet and exceed our customers' expectations."
